Zsolt Bács is an actor, director and screenwriter, born in Budapest/Hungary. After studies at the at Medical University in Budapest and Berlin he started his career as an actor at the European Film Actor School, Zurich in 1989 and worked with coaches as Susan Batson, Walter Lott and Alexandra Vertinskaya. He participated in several Theatre Productions in Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Germany, as well as in many TV and Cinema productions in Germany, France and the Czech Republic.
Since 1996 Zsolt Bács has been writing several screenplays for TV and cinema. His career as a director began 2008 with the Comedy ESPERANZA, the Opening feature at Berlinale’s Perspektive Deutsches Kino section. Bács wrote and co-produced the award-winning thriller SLAVE where he had also the leading male part. Working for three years at German TV Bacs’s second feature as a director THE CHILD has been released end of 2012. Currently he works as a co-director on an international thriller in Istanbul.
